This black & white landscape was shot Purfleet on the Thames estuary in Essex. Black & white photography is a huge passion of mine and finding different ways to interpret this medium is always an exciting quest.
I've been really interested recently in abstract painting, especially the colour minimalists of the mid 20th century and this image is part of a project that explores a geometric abstraction and photography combination. The presentation of a black & white photograph with abstract colour hopefully provides a new way of seeing the image, changing it's original intent to form a new visual reference.
